I was directed to Rainey & Rainey by my legal insurance company when I needed to update the trust for my home. I had recently moved. James Rainey served me, and I really appreciated all the information he gave me about the current arrangement I had and how it really didn't serve me well, and he suggested I consider the Lady Bird Deed. After explaining it to me, I agreed it would be better, and he helped me get that all sorted. My first impression of the office in Waco was how professional the environment was, as well as the staff, especially when you are greeted as you come in. That gave me confidence and helped to ease any apprehension I had about what would take place. James was very professional, but personable and friendly while explaining all I needed to know and also listened to my immediate family dynamics. That was important because I had questions about one of them contesting the arrangement, etc. He took the time to help me understand what was possible and what was not, and what I needed to consider so my arrangements were kept even after I was gone. He walked me through every step and angle we could think of that might happen and what to do about preventing a negative outcome. All of my documents were duplicated right then and there and given to me in such an orderly way, all I had to do when I needed to pass the info on to my son was hand him the folder that was given to me. I have recommended Rainey & Rainey to many of my friends seeking elder attorneys for different reasons, and also the workshops they offer in Georgetown and elsewhere that are helpful for people our age. I am grateful for Rainey & Rainey, and I have told my children to call their office immediately upon my passing because I'm confident they will help them with each step they need to take.
